We have been attempting to establish a lasting relationship with the transport planning department of LBRuT. It's not been made easy by their constantly changing staff but we are making progress, if somewhat slowly.
We want to see LBRuT start to introduce 20mph speed limits as default and to be one of the boroughs at the forefront of this change that will inevitably be part of London life within the next 10 years.
We want to see LBRuT actively encourage cycling by pushing forward a cycle network within Richmond and not to focus on TfL roads and LCN+ links.
We want to see the bike parking situation outside Richmond Station to be resolved. We will start lobbying LBRuT and Network Rail to this effect.
LBRuT has won the Smarter Travel bid for £5million to be spent over 5 years. We will be persuading LBRuT to spend a large portion of this money on constructive schemes.
The council are also concerned about abandoned bicycles and urge you to report any bicycles you think may be abandoned to their Transport and Streets department here.
